Scanning electrochemical microscopy. 51. Studies of self-assembled monolayers of DNA in the absence and presence of metal ions

Article Abstract:

Scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) was used to examine electron transfer (ET) across a self-assembled monolayer of thiol-modified DNA duplexes on a gold electrode. The overall results suggest that penetration of the DNA layers by the mediator plays an important role in the observed electrochemical response.

Protein-labeling effects in confocal laser scanning microscopy

Article Abstract:

The effect of the probe identity of the subsequent confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) adsorption profiles is examined. The adsorption profiles measured by CLSM show significantly different behavior depending upon whether the lysozyme-dye conjugate is retained longer or shorter than the unlabeled lysozyme.

Scanning electric potential microscopy imaging of polymer latex films: detection of supramolecular domains with nonuniform electrical

Article Abstract:

Scanning electric potential microscopy images of latex films are independent of the topography images as evidencing the good separation of electric and Van der Waals contributions to image formation. Film electroneutrality is a result of charge balance on a supramolecular or colloidal size scale.
