Screened coulomb pair potential in colloidal interactions in suspensions revisited

Article Abstract:

The screened coulomb expression is critically examined vis-a-vis the effective screening parameter for a charge stabilized colloidal suspension under salt-free conditions. It is suggested that the use of more than one exponential in the screened-coulomb potential would be more useful at high macroion charges, especially in the presence of multi-valent counterions.

Optical properties of polymer-based photonic nanocomposite materials

Article Abstract:

A detailed analysis of the optical properties of block copolymer-based, multilayered metallodielectric Bragg reflectors is presented. It is shown that for engineering polymer-based materials, particle sizes on the order of the electron's mean free path should be used.

Phase transition of the PLGA-g-PEG copolymer aqueous solutions

Article Abstract:

The response of stimuli sensitive polymers to temperature, light, electric field and chemicals is studied. A significant change in hydration status was detected by the infrared spectroscopy.
