Solvatochromic parameters for binary mixtures of 1-(1-butyl)3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate with some protic molecular solvents

Article Abstract:

The solvatochromic parameters were determined for binary solvent mixtures of 1(1-butyl)-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim]BF4) with water, ethanol and methanol. Positive deviation from ideal behavior was observed for the solvent parameters like normalized polarity parameter, dipolarity/polarizabitly and hydrogen bond donor acidity whereas the deviation of the hydrogen bond acceptor basicity is negative.

Formation of amorphous silicon by the low-temperature tunneling reaction of H atoms with solid thin film of SiH4 at 10K

Article Abstract:

The detail study on the reaction of (hydrogen) H atoms with solid SiH4 molecules deposited on the silicon substrate is presented. The results revealed that the reaction led to the formation of solid product, which was identified to have the structure similar to the amorphous silicon (a-Si: H) formed by the plasma chemical vapor deposition.
