Solvent effects on internal conversions and intersystem crossings: the radiationless de-excitation of acrolein in water

Article Abstract:

The solvent effects on internal conversion and intersystem crossing processes are studied by using an extended version of the averaged solvent electrostatic potential from molecular dynamics data method. The relaxation through an equilibrium path has involved a strong solvent reorganization, whereas the nonequilibrium path has not involved solvent motion and the de-excitation has proceeded with the same speed as in vacuo.

Micro-Raman investigations of the formaldehyde-ice system

Article Abstract:

The study investigated the effects of freezing on the water-formaldehyde system for different concentrations and to establish related information on ice-formaldehyde interactions by using Raman spectroscopy. From the subtle changes of the bands assigned to the CO and CH group frequencies, at least two distinct crystalline phases are found to coexist with ice at different temperatures.

Curing kinetics of o-cresol formaldehyde epoxy resin and succinic anhydride system catalyzed by tertiary amine

Article Abstract:

The kinetics of the cure reaction for system of o-cresol formaldehyde epoxy resin (o-CFER)/succinic anhydride (SA) and tertiary amine as a catalyst is investigated with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The molecular mechanism of this curing reaction is discussed.
