Structural characteristics of a 0.23 mole fraction aqueous solution of tetrahydrofuran at 20 degree Celsius

Article Abstract:

Hydrogen/deuterium isotopic substitution neutron diffraction techniques are used to measure the structural correlation functions in a 0.23 mole fraction solution of tetrahydrofuran in water at room temperature. Despite the small size of the solvent water molecules, the 0.23 mole fraction aqueous solution is still found to contain small voids akin to those in pure liquid tetrahydrofuran.

Structure and thermal expansivity of tetrahydrofuran deuterate determined by neutron powder diffraction

Article Abstract:

The crystal structure of tetrahydrofuran deuterate, a clathrate hydrate, is refined from neutron powder diffraction data at five temperatures in the range 7-265K. The most pronounced structural changes occur in a similar regime of T as changes in guest dynamics observed in spectroscopic and thermodynamic studies.

Electrochemical behavior of sodium anions

Article Abstract:

The electrochemical behavior of sodium analyte species is experimented in 0.1 M TBAP and in electrolyte-free tetrahydrofuran solutions at room temperature. The results obtained from electrochemical studies of sodium electrodes and of sodium salts at a mercury film electrode are also presented.
