Structural evolution of mixed micelles due to interchain complexation and segregation investigated by laser light scattering

Article Abstract:

A combination of static and dynamic laser light scattering is employed to the study the structural evolution of mixed micelles, which is a result of interchain hydrogen-bonding complexation and segregation. The analysis shows that an increase in the time results to an increase in the average radius of gyration, average hydrodynamics ratio, as it is proved that they evolve from a spherical structure to a hyperbranched structure.

Understanding the EPR parameters of glycine-derived radicals: The case of N-acetylglycyl in the N-acetylglycine single-crystal environment

Article Abstract:

The g-tensor of N-acetylglcyl in the environment of a single crystal of N-acetylglycine is studied by systematic state-of-art quantum chemical calculations on various suitable model systems. Environmental effects, included by the supermolecular hydrogen-bonded models, were found to be moderate, due to a partial compensation between the influences from intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonds.

Solution structures of cyclosporine A and its complex with dysprosium(III) in SDS micelles: NMR and molecular dynamics studies

Article Abstract:

The structures of cyclosporine A (CsA) in sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micelles and its complex with dysprodium(III) ion are analyzed. The paramagnetic properties of Dy(III) have helped in building the structure by using proton relaxation enhancements, which has remained stable in a molecular dynamics simulation in the micelle environment.
