Structural kinetics studies on phase transitions of the Bi UDP layer between the (2 X 2) and (p X square root of 3)

Article Abstract:

The kinetics of the phase transition between the (2 X 2) and (p X square root of 3)-Bi structures of Au(111) is investigated using electrochemical methods and time-resolved surface X-ray diffraction. The results state that electrochemical processes do not always represent that phase transition models and the importance of the direct observations of the surface structure in the phase transition studies.

Kinetics of receptor directed assembly of multisegment nanowires

Article Abstract:

The receptor directed end-to-end assembly of multisegment Au/Ni/Au nanowires under agitation in ethanol is demonstrated. Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations were used to model the self-assembly process which showed that the directed end-to-end assembly of nanowires is similar to the polycondensation of linear polymers.

Structural and electrochemical characterization of immobilized polymerized electroactive vesicles

Article Abstract:

Immobilized polymerized electroactive vesicles (IPEVs) are evaluated from both material science and electrochemical perspective for their charge storage and charge transport properties. Immobilized vesicles composed of diacetylenic phospholipids were shown to be stable on gold surfaces.
