Study of correlations between microstructure and conductivity in a thermoplastic polyurethane electrolyte

Article Abstract:

The structure of a thermoplastic polyurethane/LiClO4 solid flexible polymer electrolyte at room temperature was investigated by means of micro-Raman and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS). One of the observations was the correlation between the carrier concentration with ionic conductivity and the free volume. An increase of ionic aggregation was shown by the micro-Raman results, although a significant increase in the range of compositions studied was noted.

Permselectivity and conductivity of membranes based on sulfonated naphthalenic copolyimides

Article Abstract:

The synthesis and characterization of naphthalenic-based sulfonated naphthalenic polyimides (SPI) membranes from the diamines is described. The membranes exhibit protonic conductivity similar to perfluorinated membranes such as Nafion.
