Surface passivation of (100)-oriented GaAs via plasma deposition of an ultrathin S-containing polymer film and its effect on photoluminescence

Article Abstract:

Thin S-containing polymer films are deposited on the HCl-etched GaAs(100) surfaces by the RF plasma polymerization of bis(methylthio)methane (BMTM) is reported. The 180 degrees Celsius-peel adhesion test results indicates that the pp-BMTM film adhered strongly to the GaAs(100) surface.

Photoluminescence properties of SnO2 nanoparticles synthesized by sol-gel method

Article Abstract:

Nanocrystalline SnO2 particles are synthesized by a simple sol-gel method. The structural and optical properties of these SnO2 particles are investigated using X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, UV- visible absorption, and photoluminescence spectroscopy.

Entropies of desorption from temperature programmed desorption data: trends and applications to rate constant determinations

Article Abstract:

It is shown that entropies of desorption can be obtained from temperature programmed desorption (TPD) data. In addition, it is shown that the use of the readily available gas-phase thermodynamic data helps in the determination of the rate constants for surface reactions.
