Synthesis and characterization of stable organosols of silver nanoparticles by electrochemical dissolution of silver in DMSO

Article Abstract:

Synthesis of the stable organosols of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) without any capping agents is conducted by an electrochemical dissolution of a sacrificing silver electrode in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The peak at 425(plusmn)5 nm observed in the UV-vis spectra is attributed to the surface plasmon resonance for silver.

Chiral discrimination of a gemini-type surfactant with rigid spacer at the air-water interface

Article Abstract:

A study explains the chiral discrimination of a gemini-type surfactant and pressure-area isotherms with rigid spacer at the air-water interface. The results show that the creeping of the monolayers at the interface leads to a transfer-induced bilayer formation in the substances.

Solvothermal synthesis and photoluminescent properties of ZnS/cyclohexylamine: Inorganic-organic hybrid semiconductor nanowires

Article Abstract:

The synthesis, characterization and spectra properties of the wire-like ZnS/cyclohexylamine (CHA) nanocomposite are reported. The pure hexagonal wurzite ZnS nanowires are obtained by extracting the ZnS/CHA nanocomposites with dimethyl formamide (DMF).
