Templated assembly of gold nanoparticles into microscale tubules and their application in surface-enhanced Raman scattering

Article Abstract:

A simple procedure to assemble gold nanoparticles into hallow tubular morphology with micrometer scale is described, wherein the citrate molecule is used not only as a reducing and capping agent, but also as an assembling template. The results reveal that the microtubes both before and after electroless plating could be used as surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates and the microtubes after electroless plating have displayed excellent enhancement ability.

Transient absorption spectra and dynamics of InSe nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

Time-resolved fluorescence and transient absorption spectra and dynamics are found for small and large InSe nanoparticles in room-temperature solutions. The results obtained are analyzed in terms of the band structure of bulk InSe and a simple model for the intraband transitions of quantum-confined electrons and holes.

The spectroscopy of InSe nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of several different sizes of InSe nanoparticles from organometallic precursors is reported. These particles are characterized by transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction, and optical spectroscopy.
