Gold cluster carbonyls: Vibrational spectroscopy of the anions and the effects of the cluster size, charge, and coverage on the CO stretching frequency

Article Abstract:

The vibrational spectra of the carbonyl complexes of anionic gold clusters in the range of the CO stretching frequency as measured in the gas phase using IR multiple dissociation spectroscopy was reported. The result provide a size and charge dependent basis to interpret values of the CO stretching frequency measured for CO on deposited gold clusters in terms of the charge states of the clusters.

Water assisting proton transfer isomerization of the HNO/HON system in the singlet state: On the number of effective water molecules

Article Abstract:

The HNO/HON isomerization assisted by m water molecules (m=1-4) on the singlet state potential energy surface (PES) is investigated by a density function theory. Two mechanisms are proposed for the mono-water-assisting isomerizations and one for each of the two modes, which are considered to model the catalytic effect of m water molecules.
