Time-resolved photoluminescence spectra of Si species encapsulated in zeolite supercages

Article Abstract:

The chained Si species terminated partially with phenyl groups and with some unsaturated bonds are formed in zeolite supercages by the reaction with phenylsilane. The study concluded that the excitation photon energy can be absorbed in zeolite and the Si quantum wires and then the absorbed energies are competitively relaxed in zeolite and the Si quantum wires.

Aligned Zn-Zn2SiO4 core-shell nanocables with homogenously intense ultraviolet emission at 300 nm

Article Abstract:

Aligned coaxial nanocables were grown on Si substrates by a vapor-deposition technique where the lengths of nanocables increased as the distance between the substrate and the source decreased. The unique growth manner provides a new technique for the homogenous crystallization of Zn-Zn2SiO4 core-shell nanocables.

Characterization and preparation of chained Si species in zeolite supercages

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of chained Si species in zeolite pores was done by step-by step reactions using phenysilane (Ph SiH3). The initial grafting reaction and propagation process were studied with TPD experiments and IR spectra and the formed Si species were characterized with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
