US/SWITZERLAND: DIGITAL PRINTING WITH CIBA, DPS

Article Abstract:

New inks for digital printing are being developed by Ciba Spezialitatenchemie and DPS in order to allow digital printing on a production scale. The two partners aim to gain a leading position in ink jet technology. Production plants are being built by DPS in Holland and New York for new aqueous printing inks that can be applied directly on paper, vinyl, non-wovens and textiles without needing pre- or post-treatment. At the Drupa show in Germany, the two companies also presented a new printer.

US: NEW PRODUCTION PLANT FOR SICPA

Article Abstract:

The Swiss printing ink manufacturer Sicpa has brought on stream a new production plant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The facility will produce mainly UV radiation cured printing inks for labels.
