Ultrafast stepwise electron injection from photoexcited Ru-complex into nanocrystalline ZnO film via intermediates at the surface

Article Abstract:

Ultrafast electron injection processes from photoexcited Ru-complex, cis-bis-(4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine)- dithiocyanato ruthenium (II), [Ru(dcbpy) (sub 2) (NCS) (sub 2)] (N (sub 3) ), into nanocrystalline ZnO film have been investigated by observing the femtosecond transient absorption in the visible and near-IR range (600-2000nm).

Identification of reactive species in photoexcited nanocrystalline TiO2 films by wide-wavelength-range (400-2500 nm) transient absorption spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted on the reactive species, holes, and electrons in photoinduced nanocrystalline TiO2 films by transient absorption spectroscopy in the wavelength range from 400 to 2500 nm. The electron spectrum was obtained through a hole-scavenging reaction under steady-state light irradiation.

Ultrafast direct and indirect electron-injection processes in a photoexcited dye-sensitized nanocrystalline zinc oxide film: the importance of exciplex intermediates at the surface

Article Abstract:

The processes involved in ultrafast electron injection from a photoexcited novel coumarin dye into the conduction band of a nanocrystalline ZnO film are investigated. It is concluded that the intermediates involved show stimulated emission at longer wavelengths than that of the excited dye.
