Molecular interactions in thin films of hexadecafluorophthalocyaninatozinc (F16PcZn) as compared to islands of N,N'-dimethylperlyne-3,4,9,10-biscarboximide (MePTCDI)

Article Abstract:

Optical absorption spectroscopy was used in studying the role of temperature on the molecular mobility and the changes in intermolecular interactions during thin film crystallization. Vapor deposition on glass were used in preparing thin films of hexadecafluorophthalocyaninatozinc (F16PcZn) and N,N'-dimethylperylene-3,4,9,10-biscarboximide (MePTCDI). Results indicate that F16PcZn thin films are formed through layered growth regardless of substrate temperature. MePTCDI thin films develop through island growth right at the start of the deposition process.

Fluorescence of thymine tautomers at room temperature in aqueous solutions

Article Abstract:

This paper describes fluorescence spectral characteristics of thymine aqueous solutions at different pH values and at different excitation wavelengths. Data are discussed in relation to tautomeric forms of thymine.
