Vibrational polarization spectroscopy of CH stretching modes of the methylene group at the vapor/liquid interfaces with sum frequency generation

Article Abstract:

The CH stretching vibrational modes of methylene group at the interfaces is studied with sum frequency generation vibrational polarized spectroscopy (SFG-VPS). The polarization analysis of SFG spectra, resulted in few explicit polarization selection rules for the assignment of CH stretching modes of the methylene groups and also helps in understanding IR and Raman studies on methylene group in the bulk condensed phases.

C-H stretching vibrations of methyl and methylene and methine groups at the vapor/alcohol (n=1-8) interfaces

Article Abstract:

The polarization selection rules for interfacial methyl, methylene, and methine groups are developed for assignment of sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy (SFG-VS) spectra in different polarization configurations. Detailed spectra features in the SFG-VS spectra of a series of vapor/alcohol interfaces are assigned using the polarization selection rule.

Vibrational spectroscopy study of beta and alpha RDX deposits

Article Abstract:

Deposits of beta and alpha RDX on glass substrate were examined with optical and Raman microscopy. The results reveal significant difference in the morphology and Raman spectro of beta and alpha RDX.
