3 + 2 cycloaddition reactions of transition-metal 2-alkynyl abnd n1-allyl complexes and their utilization in five-membered-ring compound synthesis

Article Abstract:

The 3 + 2 cycloaddition reactions of tranition-metal n1-allyl complexes and 2-alkynyl were discussed. Studies on the 3 + 2 cycloaddition reactions which were published since 1980 were reviewed. Works on the reaction syntheses of both n-1 allyl and 2-alkynyl complexes were also included. The reaction mechanism for the 3 + 2 cycloaddition reactions were elucidated. In addition, dematalation reactions were also investigated.

Long-lived cyclopropylcarbinyl cations

Article Abstract:

The structural analyses of different species of cyclopropylcarbinyl cations under stable ion conditions were discussed. The cationic structures were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. In addition, the equilibriated states and structural changes as a result of the substituent were also discussed. Both the degenerate and the static arrangements of cyclopropycarbinyl cations were elucidated.

New self-assembled structural motifs in coordination chemistry

Article Abstract:

This review focuses on the small, noninfinite metal clusters, the nonhelicate complexes, which exhibit self-assembly capabilities mediated by metal-ligand coordination. Research advances have given rise to many new molecular architecture motifs in terms of structural, stereochemical, kinetic, and other types of interactions facilitating self-assembly processes.
