C-vinylpyrroles as pyrrole building blocks

Article Abstract:

The reactivity of C-vinylpyrroles and their application as building blocks (pyrrole moiety carriers) in the synthesis of more complex pyrrole compounds is reviewed. The study illustrates the substantial advances achieved in the field of the chemistry of C-vinylpyrroles, especially those with functional groups.

Quantum mechanical continuum solvation models

Article Abstract:

The body of the theory developed in the first 30 years of the 'modern' solvation methods is summarized, giving emphasis to those aspects that are at the basis of all extensions and reformulations of the model. The elaboration of the models for solvation effects in very dilute solutions is examined.
