Catalytic asymmetric organozinc additions to carbonyl compounds

Article Abstract:

This review focuses on the catalytic asymmetric dialkylzinc addition to aldehydes to obtain ligands of diverse structures and catalysts with high enantioselectivity for the organozinc addition to carbonyl compounds. Discussion on the catalytic asymmetric reactions of alkyl, aryl, alkenyl, and alkynylzincs with aldehydes and chiral catalysts is presented.

Palladium-catalyzed Reppe carbonylation

Article Abstract:

This review discusses the versatile process of Reppe carbonylation involved in the conversion of olefins, acetylenes, and dienes to a variety of saturated and unsaturated acids, esters, or anhydrides, respectively. Author reviews the chemistry, composition, performance, and applications of palladium Reppe-carbonylation catalysts.
