Control of electronic properties of molecular conductors by uniaxial strain

Article Abstract:

The modification and control of the electronic properties of molecular conductors and superconductors by uniaxial deformation of crystal structures is reviewed. The role of pressure applications in the study of molecular conductors is discussed and a brief review of pioneering studies of the uniaxial compression of conventional semiconductors and some molecular conductors is given.

Study of molecular conductors by X-ray diffuse scattering

Article Abstract:

It is shown that X-ray scattering is an indispensable method to unveil novel properties. In (TM)(sub 2) X, subtle states mixing spin- and charge- density waves are discovered by X-ray diffraction.
