Electron transmission through molecules and molecular interfaces

Article Abstract:

The focus of this review is electron-transfer involving electron transmission between two regions of free electrons through molecules or molecular layers as in photoemission in molecular overlayers and low-energy electron transfer between metal or semiconductor contacts. Electron transmission through water layers and the role played by inelastic processes are discussed.

Spatially heterogeneous dynamics in supercooled liquids

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the heterogeneity and molecular dynamics occurring in supercooled liquids in terms of a spatial distribution of heterogeneous dynamics across the regions of the supercooled liquid is presented. Data are discussed to elucidate the origin, size, duration, and intensity of the heterogeneous liquid regions.

Delayed ionization and fragmentation en route to thermionic emission: statistics and dynamics

Article Abstract:

Thermal emission in terms of mode of energy acquisition, delayed ionization, fragmentation or radiative cooling of the energy-rich large molecules is discussed. Data on delayed ionization of fullerenes and metallic and metcar clusters are presented.
