Folding and stability of alpha-helical integral membrane proteins

Article Abstract:

The results of genetic, cell biological, biochemical and biophysical studies of alpha-helical integral membrane protein folding and stability are reviewed with an emphasis on connecting results from different types of experiments in the context of the thermodynamic formalisms. Experiments on the kinetics and thermodynamics of membrane protein folding are providing insight into the dependence of folding on protein sequence and lipid composition.

Modeling the kinetics of bimolecular reactions

Article Abstract:

The theoretical and computational modeling of bimolecular reactions especially with generally applicable methods for kinetics is presented. The model is derived from improved methods for generating and using reactive potential energy surfaces, especially implicit potential energy surfaces generated by direct dynamics.
