Homogeneous metathesis polymerization by well-defined group VI and group VIII transition-metal alkylidenes: fundamentals and applications in the preparation of advanced materials

The author reviews the publications on the olefin metathesis, originally related to Ziegler-Natta chemistry. The topics of interest are the basic principles of group VI and group VIII metal alkyldienes and their potential for use in polymerization, and alkyne metathesis polymerization.
