Mode of action of bi-and trinuclear zinc hydrolases and their synthetic analogues

Article Abstract:

A summarization of mechanistic investigations of an experimental and a theoretical nature on the mode of action of bi-and trinuclear zinc enzymes is presented. It is concluded that the rational development of binuclear zinc compounds capable of functioning as biomimetic hydrolases assumes knowledge of the structure of the active site and enzyme's mode of action.

Synthetic analogues and reaction systems relevant to the molybdenum and tungsten oxotransferases

Article Abstract:

Chemical approaches to molybdenum and tungsten enzymes sites are directed towards mimicking a portion of the structural center in order to ascertain the role of that particular feature of the center on the chemical reactivity and the spectroscopic properties of the center.

Phenazine natural products: biosynthesis, synthetic analogues, and binding activity

Article Abstract:

The occurrence and activity of numerous diverse and complex phenazines in subclasses of structural characteristics is discussed. Some limitations of the conventional methods could be addressed by transition metal catalysis of the phenazine cyclization.
