Characterizing the protein folding transition state using psi analysis

Article Abstract:

A demonstration is presented that biHis sites incorporated in both alpha helices and beta sheets can be stabilized by the addition of divalent metal ions so that detailed study of the energy of one specific interaction in the transition state may be achieved. This kinetic treatment is termed as psi analysis.
