Techniques and applications of far-UV photochemistry in solution. The photochemistry of the C3H4 and C4H6 hydrocarbons

Article Abstract:

The usage of a pulsed UV laser called ablative photodecomposition and its potential use in medicine are discussed. The solution-phase far UV techniques to probe the photochemical aspects of minute organic compounds and the functioning of the system in an excited state are also presented. Photochemical techiniques using far-range UV provide researchers the chance to explore tiny molecules in greater detail than was previously possible using conventional techniques.

High-intensity laser photochemistry of organic molecules in solution

Article Abstract:

Researches conducted early in 1992 concerning photochemical reactions stimulated by multiple-photon processes are discussed in detail with accompanying spectroscopic and kinetic data. Newer and more powerful techniques enable researchers to observe photochemical reactions not readily observed in normal, low light intensities. Reactions in the plasma domain can be achieved utilizing the argon ion laser-jet technique.

Photochemistry of phosphate esters

Article Abstract:

The photochemistry of basic phosphate esters and potential applications to biological researches are presented. High quantum efficiencies and increased release rate constants of phosphates present the field of phosphate ester photochemistry as a feasible tool for biological applications. Search for better cage ligands have been hindered before by slow release rates and dangerous nitroso ketone side product.
