A Team Effort Got the OA Job Done

Article Abstract:

The city of Scottsdale, Arizona has received the Gold First Award from Office Automation for successfully implementing an office automation system (OA). A Rolm telephone system, a mainframe computer and remote terminals comprise the system. Terminal capabilities include communicating with each other and reaching central files in the mainframe computer. User-management support is gained by training employees from the top down and offering customized training modules. The city recognizes the importance of a humanistic approach with users.
