Ach du Lieber, Nixdorf's '82 was Tops

Article Abstract:

Heinz Nixdorf's West German-based Nixdorf chalked up sales of $144 million in the United States in 1982, an increase of eighteen per cent. Nixdorf's specializes in mainframe computers for medium and large companies. Nixdorf products include: the 8840-5 wordprocessor; the 8845 multifunctional system; 8850 data entry system; 8860 host-driven distributed system; 8870 small business system; and the 8810 workstation. Nixdorf and Awagen will build a 32-bit fail safe system, and Nixdorf is becoming involved in fiber optics and voice recognition.

Article Abstract:

The Wildlife Conservation Society collected animals from the wild jungles, encouraged breeding of bison and organized informative educational displays on wild animals to protect wildlife. The educational displays included World of Darkness, which opened in 1969, best known for bat breeding, Wild Asia and Jungle World, known for tigers and Indian rhinos. The mammal department of the wildlife conservation society has decided to organize a Congo Rain Forest and Environmental Education Center to display gorillas.
