Behind the Soaring Demand for Electronic Key Phones

Article Abstract:

Small businesses have increased their use of electronic key telephones. There has been an average annual growth rate of 25.9 percent. These telephones can be used as home phones with one incoming line or business phones with two or more incoming lines. Microprocessors have increased the capabilities of key telephones. These telephones can distinguish call sources, limit calls to designated areas, forward calls, provide hands-free reception, three-way and conference calls, hold tones, volume adjustment and automatic dialing. Improvements have made these telephones reliable, compact and lighter. A fifteen to twenty percent increase in exports is expected for the key telephones. Several tables summarize market trends in electronic phones.
