Drive Electric

Article Abstract:

Since the electric motor was invented in 1831, electric powered vehicles have been an interesting alternative to vehicles powered by internal combustion. Electric vehicles offer many advantages including reliability, long life, quiet and simple operation, safety, energy and maintenance economy, and pollution control. Advances in battery technology and the high cost of fossil fuels have made electric vehicles a potentially competitive alternative in the automotive market. A comparison of electric vehicles available in the United Kingdom against diesel and gas powered models reveals competitive factors of each.
