Interactive Videodisc Training: A Cost-Effective Alternative

Article Abstract:

Because the information processing market is expected to experience a thirty-five to forty percent growth over the next five years, traditional training modes, such as instructor-led classes, seminars, and training manuals, cannot keep pace with industry needs. Videodisc training systems are capable of presenting a variety of instruction using taped instructors and demonstrations, graphics, text and simulations of operations. Videodisc systems can be adapted to individual training needs, and users can determine their own pace and practice as often as needed.
