Canon Inc has developed a variety of facsimile machine models that provide multiple functions and high-quality laser printing capabilities to satisfy the demands of customers who desire cost-effective, versatile fax machines. Products include the Laser Class 3175 and 3170 models, both of which are reliable, user-friendly and powerful. They can be used as stand- alone machines or as part of a network. The Laser Class 9000S and 9500S Networkable Multifunction Facsimiles are stand-alone units that can be configured for network use.

Super G3 faxes accommodate LANs

Article Abstract:

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. offers the $8,788 FA-9570VLAN local area network (LAN) facsimile allowing users to send and receive fax messages through a LAN-connected personal computer. The FA-9570VLAN, along with the $6,742 FA-9570V, is compatible with the Super G3 standard and features Mitsubishi Electric's original high-compressive F1 code, which lets users to send an A4 document within two to three seconds. The fax also incorporates a JBIG compression system, which allows users to transmit messages within two to three seconds to other fax machines of other makes.

Laser faxes spearhead Ricoh's development of multiple-function machines

Ricoh Company Ltd's development is propelled by its multi-function equipment such as FAX2000L and FAX4800L laser faxes. With the capability to scan an A4 document into memory, FAX2000L utilizes a 33.6Kbps modem, enabling it to send an A4 document in three seconds. Meanwhile, Ricoh's FAX4800L model features a 33.6Kbps modem that sends an A4 document in three seconds and a scanner with the capability to scan an A4 document in one and a half seconds.
