Office Security

Article Abstract:

The administrative vice president of Amalgamated Equities (AE) was asked to justify continuing the corporate security activity at headquarters. Loss avoidance is a difficult value to ascribe, but robberies and rapes have occured when vacant offices were left unlocked and visitors had ready access to the office area. Building management's responsibility for securing the workplace is limited and the final concern for the well-being of employees rests with the organization.

Office Security

Article Abstract:

Security problems are created when microcomputers are placed in office settings. Room dust could cause problems with floppy and rigid disks. Units should be away from direct contact with heating or air conditioning vents. Systems should be secured to work surfaces.
