Oregon and OA: Teaming Up for Productivity

Article Abstract:

The State of Oregon has installed Kodak micrographic systems in four departments. Each system uses Recordak Reliant 750 microfilmers to record huge numbers of documents plus indexing systems and Kodak IMT-150 terminals for retrieval. The Dept. of Motor Vehicles records vehicle registrations, titles, and drivers' license suspensions. Adults and Family Services microfilms over 376000 documents per month. The Dept of Veteran's Affairs processes home loans, while the Employment division handles employment taxes and benefits claims.

The Goverment Office: Postal Service Gears for Change

Article Abstract:

Performance Resources Inc. (PRI) has designed a training and support program for the United States Postal Service. Assistant postmasters general, managers, and directors will attend seven one-day workshops. The training program will focus on building awareness of automated system capabilities, building additional skills and integrating office procedures with automation. In providing on-site support, PRI will review and customize member's plans for their workplaces and will design productivity measurements.
