Panasonic offers true XGA resolution, superb image quality

Article Abstract:

Panasonic's PT-L795 LCD projector features full XGA resolution and SXGA compatibility to provide superior picture quality, excellent reliability and well-balanced functionality and performance. The projector adopts a high-performance, 10-bit digital gamma correction circuit for optimizing the non-linear imaging characteristics of LCD panels, resulting in the display of natural colors and smooth image gradation. A Digital Zoom feature allows users to zoom in on selected areas of the image and enlarge them twice or thrice their original size.

Sony sets sights on large piece of global projection market

Article Abstract:

Sony Corp. is targeting the US market with its VPL-60 series of LCD projectors. The 5kg projectors feature compatibility with XGA and Super VGA images and offer a 600-lumen (ANSI) brightness using a 120W Ultra High Power lamp. Bright, realistic images with uniform illumination result from the adoption of flye-eye lenses and three 1.3-in LCD panels. The projectors also handle DVD and other image sources. The series is available in two models: the XGA-compatible VLP-X600 and the Super VGA-compatible VPL-S600. Each model has four versions.

Light-amplifying system yields true SXGA images in JVC's digital projector

Article Abstract:

Victor Company of Japan Ltd (JVC) developed the direct-drive image light-amplifier (D-ILA) system that enables projectors to cast bright and large images with the clarity and sharpness of small-screen images. The Japanese firm's newest model, the DLA-G10, presents images in superior resolution with a maximum of 1,365 X 1,024 dots, outperforming the Super XGA mode of 1,280 X1,024 pixels. The DLA-G10 projector's other features include simple setup and compact, lightweight design.
