Panasonic plays up light features in latest LCD projectors

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Electric Europe Ltd (Panasonic) is offering the PT-L797, PT- L597 and PT-L557 LCD projectors that promise to deliver extremely bright and vivid images under any lighting conditions. The latest additions to the company's line of LCD projectors feature a total of three 1.3-inch active-matrix, thin-film transistor (TFT0 polysilicon panels. The PT-L597 and PT-L797 feature a dual-lamp system, and are capable of performing digital gamma correction. The PT-L557, which has a luminance of 1,500 ANSI lumens, features a PC Flash Card where users can load the presentation data.

Panasonic Co is marketing three LCD projectors, the PT-L797PW, PT-L797V and PT-L597, which promise to deliver excellent luminance, clear pictures and good performance at low prices. PT-L979PW is a S-XGA projector that has a luminance of 2,000 ANSI lumens. The easy-to-use PT-L797V conforms to S-XGA and delivers a luminance of 1,500 ANSI lumens. Meanwhile, the XGA projector PT-L597 delivers high brilliance with brightness of 1,700 ANSI lumens.

Multimedia projectors handle A4 documents, offer zooming, deliver brightness

Article Abstract:

Nippon Avionics Company Ltd is offering multimedia projectors with the capability to handle A4 documents and deliver higher brightness and advanced zooming functions. Launched in Dec 1998, the MP-250E offers 1,100 ANSI lumens and XGA resolution. Meanwhile, MP-300E projector, unveiled in Feb 1999, has a luminance of 1,200 ANSI lumens and SXGA-resolution.
