Skills evaluation tools provide new insights

The training vendors have release their new information technology skill assesment tools. Qwiz Inc of Atlanta, GA, has released its Qwiztek computer-based skills assessment systems, which cover more than 30 programs and technologies such as C++, Lotus Notes, Windows NT, and Unix. Wave Technologies Inc of St Louis, MO, has introduced its Four Level IT Assessment product that evaluates motivation levels and learning styles in addition to skill levels. ExecuTrain Corp of Atlanta, GA, has released the Validate! line of assessment tools for measuring a course's return on investment and preparing individuals for certification.

Global Knowledge Network expands offering

Article Abstract:

Global Knowledge Network persists on expanding its IT course offerings through strategic partnerships and acquisitions. The company adds new high-end technical course content to its course offerings through its recent purchase of Cary, NC-based American Research Group, which offers a wide selection of LAN, UNIX and internetworking courses. The deal addded 49 new curricula and 89 instructors to Global Knowledge's roster of 350 courses and 300 instructors.
