Seven pitfalls in business letter writing are analyzed and suggestions given for avoiding them. Organize letters ahead of time on paper and proofread carefully for grammar, punctuation, and lengthy paragraphs. Do not use formal or hackneyed style. Be honest with the client. Do not telephone if the issues need to be put in writing.
