Sony Corp of Japan has introduced its two new multimedia projectors. The 3.73-kg VPL-SC60U projector features a prism block optical system with three polysilicon LCD panels. The system is composed of two 10 x 8-element fly-eye light integrators, a precision prism block, a short-arc 120W ultra-high-power lamp, a fine-performance lens and 0.9-in large-aperture LCD panels. The VPL-PX1 features brightness of 1,000 ANSI lumens and XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 dots.
