TeleCommunications Association Draws Record Convention Crowd

Article Abstract:

The TeleCommunications Association (TCA) convention consisted of more than three hundred and fifty exhibitors and nine thousand visitors. More than 1,300 members from 600 companies makeup TCA. Companies that qualify for membership have multiple offices, plants and facilities which are connected by privately-owned or leased point-to-point telecommunication circuits, administer telecommunication services, or have telecommunication services. A list of exhibitors is given.

Syntopican Bounces Back with a Record Turnout

Article Abstract:

The Association of Information Systems Professionals, formerly the International Information-Word Processing Association held a successful convention in 1983. A better economy as well as the continuing advancement of computers in the office are credited for the success of the trade show. A first for the convention was a network that hooked up all the vendors. Special new word processors featuring advanced capabilities at moderate cost were unveiled.
