Telecommunications

Article Abstract:

Now that AT&T Communications Tariffs 9, 10 and 11 have been issued, private-line users can feel the discomfort of post divestiture billing changes and new rate structures. Tariff structures have shifted to an incremental rather than average-cost system based on AT&T's new circuit structure consisting of local channels central office access, and interoffice channels. Managers need to evaluate the new structures on a continual basis to take advantage of AT&T's multiple option ordering plan while maintaining service needs at lowest costs available. The new AT&T Communications private-line structure is outlined in a chart.
