With tailored products, latecomer Fujitsu expects to move up fast

Article Abstract:

Fujitsu Ltd. intends to generate sales of 30 billion yen in smart card products in the next three years from 1998. The company, which developed its SmartCARD Vision program in 1997, plans to use its expertise in the field of electronics to become a leader in providing smart card technology and services to its clients worldwide. The company, which plans to introduce smart card systems that are specifically designed for the need of a particular customer, decided to enter the smart card market only in the summer of 1997.

Projector showdown parades latest presentation systems at Infocomm Asia

Manufacturers of projectors have introduced their latest products at the Infocomm Asia held in the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Among the new products are Panasonic Broadcast and Television System Co's PT-L 797PE XGA projector and PT-597 series of SVGA projectors, Sanyo Corp's PLC-EF10EA SXGA multimedia LCD projector, Fujitsu General Ltd's LPF-6200 XGA projector and Seiko Epson Corp's EMP-9000 multimedia LCD projector.
