A new spin on dealer meetings - around a track

Article Abstract:

To make it's first dealer show, Little Rock(dubbed 'Drivin' Business 400) an unique event, Southern Marine, distributor of parts and accessories has decided to hold the show at SuperSpeedway, Talladega, Alaska, home of NASCAR's Talladega 500. Dealers who buy a certain amount of it's products, will get an opportunity to drive a NASCAR vehicle. The show is scheduled from 18th- 20thOctober 2004 and Southern Marine has already received 250 dealerships.

Marina conference attracts 550 to San Diego

Article Abstract:

At the 2005 International Marina Conference in San Diego, 550 participants from around the world gathered to discuss a wide range of issues facing the marina industry, including marina operations, marina design, accessibility concerns, and marina owner liability. Also, the Marina Operators Association of America and the International Marina Institute merged, to form into the Association of Marina Industries.

How much design protection? Some say splashing law is flawed, others argue it's not even needed

Article Abstract:

Design professionals in the field of splashing debate whether the hull registration law is beneficial to the industry. However designer Peter Granata feels that creating new law is not the answer but prosecuting the one that already exists is expected.
