Acquisition allows ChoicePoint to offer DM services to agents

Article Abstract:

Decision-making data company ChoicePoint of Alpharetta, GA, has announced its acquisition of Statewide Data Services Inc., a provider of prospecting data and telemarketing services to individual insurance agents. The deal would enable ChoicePoint to offer its direct marketing services to insurance agents. ChoicePoint said the Statewide will work with its ChoicePoint Direct division, which provides financial service companies with consulting, database management, direct mail and direct marketing services.

Metro sees acquisition as first step to future growth

Article Abstract:

Metro Marketing of Freehold, NJ, expects that its acquisition of telemarketing firm Advanced Marketing will help in its future growth. Metro acquired Advanced Marketing in Mar 1999 in a deal that did not include any facilities or equipment. The acquisition gave Metro access to Advanced Marketing's roster of around 1,100 clients as well as additional management and sales personnel to handle its telemarketing services.

Cosmos Broadcasting buys Super Coups franchisee

Super Coups, an Augusta, GA-based co-op mail, was purchased by Cosmos Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Greenville, SC-based The Liberty Coup, the second-biggest Super Coups franchisee. Cosmos Broadcasting, a regional broadcasting with network and cable interests in several Southeastern and Midwestern markets, plans to broaden the Super Coups franchise into several additional markets.
