Guild.com elevates online marketing to high art

Catalog and source-book firm Guild.com Inc of Madison, WI, has transformed its Web site at www.guild.com into an online art gallery. The site features around 1,300 artists and sells artworks that range from $12 to $1 million. The company takes a smaller commission because it sells in larger volume thatn a normal cybergallery. Guild.com will launch a radio and print campaign in Jan 2000 developed by Publicis and Hal Riney of San Francisco, CA.

Art.com plans direct mail campaign to move eyes to revamped site

Article Abstract:

Art.com of Lake Forest, IL, has launched a direct mail campaign to lure more visitors to its online store that offers more than 100,000 pictures. The campaign sent mailings to more than 1 million households, and is now planning on expandings its Internet advertising, which could include a placement ad on America Online Inc's main portal. The company is also set to introduce its revamped site.
