Adsmart targets service professionals with BTB network

Adsmart of Andover, MD, a unit of CMGI Inc, has introduced a business-to- business advertising network that is aimed at professionals in the fields of real estate, insurance, legal and other industries. The company, which launched the service in Jan 2000, is hoping to build its presence in the lucrative business-to-business segment of the advertising industry. Adsmart has already secured deals for the service with four websites and is holding negotiations with 20 more operators.

Adsmart offers consulting, hopes for edge over doubleclick, 24/7

Adsmart, a an online ad company based in Andover, MA, has launched a consulting division to keep pace with its New York-based competitors 24/7 Media Inc and DoubleClick Inc. The division will advice the company's affiliated sites on how to increase the number of ad impressions and improve the usability of the impressions. The division will also offer research services and suggestions on how to attract more advertisers to a site. Adsmart places targeted ads on its affiliated sites, choosing which site will best fit the targeted ad.

AdSmart acquires 2Can Media, eyes 24/7 and DoubleClick market

Article Abstract:

Online ad representation firm AdSmart Corp has acquired 2Can Media Inc for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will add 2Cam Media's 45 Web sites to AdSmart's network of 135 Web sites including Smart Money, National Geographic and MotorTrend. The combined network will exceed 650 million monthly impressions. AdSmart Corp is also planning to acquire other competitors such as 24/7 Media Inc and DoubleClick Inc.
