Article Abstract:

Albertson's has transferred the fulfillment of online orders to five of its stores in Seattle, WA. The said stores were chosen based on where most of Albertson's online customers live in the city, since quick response times and length-of-drive times were primary considerations. Albertson's did not say what would happen to its Seattle fulfillment center but the move comes at a time when online grocers have also shut down their fulfillment centers.

The retail chain is selling the gift packages from $19.99 to $34.99, ranging from the Dad's Toolbox to the Fishing Tag-a-Long and the Grilling or Pasta Box selections. On Father's Day, Target will offer smoked Alaskan salmon for $8.99 and a DVD/VCR combo player for $349.99 through its Dads & Grads channel.
