Blockbuster

Article Abstract:

The basic design of the British Film Institute's 20 million pounds sterling millennium project Imax Cinema in Waterloo, London, England, is a glass drum with a grey, metallic roof with a slight pitch. Avery Associates' innovative design for the cinema has presented a number of technical challenges, but the project is on schedule for completion in Mar 1999. Most of the challenges are associated with the network of tunnels over which the cinema is being constructed.
