Breathing space

Article Abstract:

Architect Jestico and Whiles has converted a warehouse building in London, England's Covent Garden into offices. The building's deep plan has been broken by a six storey atrium which acts as a natural ventilation system as well as bringing light into the interior. The ventialation works by stack effect and warm air is expelled through opening roof lights. Glazed sliding doors surround the atrium. These are automatically closed in the event of fire.
